EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The 100-HECTARE MULTI-PURPOSE FARM aims to establish a climate-resilient, biodiversity-rich agroforestry model that integrates
conservation, sustainable agriculture, livelihood generation, Indigenous empowerment, and eco-tourism. Core development areas include:
-
Philippine Endangered Native Flowering Tree Park (7 ha)
-
Philippine Endangered Native Trees Forest (67 ha)
-
Fruit-Bearing Trees Area (10 ha)
-
Livestock & Gamefowl Breeding Area (5 ha)
-
Nursery & Propagation Center (3 ha)
Supporting infrastructure covers internal roads, fencing, irrigation, eco-tourism facilities, ponds, camping sites, and the central Foundation Office.
The total projected cost—including capital expenditures and multi-year operations and maintenance—is ₱1,193,861,570, and includes 30%
Foundation Leg Work for full mobilization, legal compliance, administrative structuring, and stakeholder coordination.
A Realistic but Ambitious Investment
This project may initially appear ambitious and costly, but it is structured as an income-generating, reinvestment-driven model. Revenues from eco-tourism, livestock, nursery seedling sales, orchard produce, and other enterprise activities will allow the project to continuously plant, restore, and maintain endangered Philippine native trees and endangered native flowering trees at scale.
Operational success will be supported by delegated, accountable management teams composed of responsible, knowledgeable, nature-loving staff and trained community volunteers, including representation from Indigenous Peoples (IPs) where applicable.
Important Note on Scalability
Use of premium 4-foot seedlings (₱800–₱2,000 each) improves survival under typhoons, extreme heat, browsing/wild animal pressure, and early drought stress.
The overall project budget remains sufficient even if the 67-hectare Philippine Endangered Native Trees Forest is expanded to 1,000 hectares or more. Expansion costs (additional seedlings, labor, maintenance) will be financed internally from project revenues, grants, and reinvestments.
This design supports long-term growth, landscape-level restoration, and reduced dependence on new external capital.
Foundation Monitoring & Community Reinvestment
An annual Foundation Monitoring Leg Work allocation (20%–30%) will support ongoing management, performance audits, compliance reporting, and transparent fund utilization.
After taxes and operating costs, net income stays within the project fund to continuously support Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and nearby less fortunate barangays through:
-
Improvement of local schools and learning facilities
-
Establishment and operation of learning hubs
-
Educational scholarships for youth and IP learners
-
Livelihood and capacity-building programs
-
Ongoing grassroots development and inclusion initiatives
-
Other community-aligned support consistent with the foundation’s mission
This reinvestment model ensures the project functions as both an ecological restoration hub and a social transformation platform.
