A Bit About Me

Perla Mauring Salviejo

Board Vice-Ptresident

Perla Mauring Salviejo
A seasoned financial expert and respected community mentor, Perla Mauring Salviejo holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Accounting, and is a proud Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She also earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), further enhancing her expertise in financial management and organizational leadership.

Perla’s professional journey spans over four decades of dedicated service in government, education, and community development. She began her career with a five-year tenure at the Commission on Audit (COA), where she developed a solid foundation in fiscal accountability and public sector auditing. She then spent 25 years at a government-owned home financing corporation, followed by 22 years in a national housing authority, where she played a key role in implementing housing policies and financial programs.

Her passion for community development led her to dedicate eight years to organizing and empowering informal settlers, helping them secure legal ownership of their housing units. In parallel, she served in the academe for eight years, teaching accounting and business subjects to aspiring professionals, combining theoretical knowledge with her rich practical experience.

After retiring from government service, Perla remained committed to public service by joining a non-profit housing program, where she continues to contribute her knowledge in governance, housing, and financial planning. She is also an active and valued member of BIBO & SHUN Foundation Inc., consistently supporting the Foundation’s outreach and advocacy work.

Her legacy is one of integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication to empowering communities through education, housing, and sound financial stewardship.
