A Bit About Me
Kent Sasaki
Trustee
Kent Sasaki was born to a Japanese father, Shigeyoshi Sasaki (who passed away in 2014), and a Filipina mother, Gina Mampusti Sasaki. During his childhood, he often visited the Philippines with his mother, developing a deep connection to both cultures.
In true Japanese tradition, Kent began working part-time at McDonald's while still in senior high school (Kōkōsei). After gaining early work experience, he moved on to a fine Italian restaurant, where he further honed his skills in customer service and kitchen operations. After graduating from high school, he worked at Yamaha Company for several years, before transferring to Saitama Prefecture to work at Honda Company. He now resides in Chiba Prefecture.
Kent has always had a passion for the arts. In high school, one of his drawings was selected as Top 2 in Shizuoka Prefecture and was proudly displayed at the city hall for some time. He also has a love for music and once dreamed of becoming a singer. However, being naturally shy, he chose not to pursue it professionally.
Despite his quiet personality, Kent has a big heart. Since childhood, he was exposed to his mother’s volunteer work and advocacy. He often helped care for his younger brother, Shun, especially when their mother was busy with foundation activities. In 2021, he actively participated in one of the outreach programs organized by his mother. Kent is a loving son and a responsible older brother—quiet yet dependable, artistic, and compassionate. His story reflects the values of humility, family devotion, and service to others.
